I'm Lucy. Interiors-obsessed, mum-of-two with a passion for functional living. I love to create fresh, fun and "neuro-affirming" interiors which bring joy to everyone who spends time in them. After spending 20 years working as a User Experience consultant for a large multinational IT firm, in 2021 I started to pursue my passion for interiors by studying for a Diploma in Professional Interior Design Skills, with the Interior Designers Hub. Early in 2022 I realised if I wanted to make a real success of things I needed to shift my focus to Interiors on a more permanent basis, so I took the leap and left my 'day-job' to set up Lucy Penn Interiors.
Now I get to spend every day doing what I love; exploring colour and pattern and finding creative ways to apply it to people's homes in a way that they love and will want to live with for years to come.
Best of all, my past life as a UX designer, and my passion for colour psychology and design for neurodiversity gives me a unique insight into how design can be made more accessible and usable to the people who interact with it. I love using this knowledge to help create truly bespoke and highly functional living spaces for my clients.
Whether your home is a one-bed apartment, or a 6-bed mansion, it should reflect you, your passions and above all make you feel happy to be there. I would love to help you achieve this, so if you're after some advice, a quick room makeover or a full decor scheme for a big new extension - just get in touch and we'll work together to bring your dream home to life!
